The “vocal ensemble NovoCanto” was founded in
the year of 2000. The artists of the ensemble come from all parts of
the Tyrol region and are without exception graduates or students
from the University Mozarteum or the Tyrolean Academy of Music. Most
of the members work as singing teachers with long-time and versatile
experience in vocal music. The musicians’ profound knowledge enables
them to perform the solos themselves. The main focus of the
performances, which reflect the spirit and style of the period in
which the music was composed, is on relatively unknown vocal music
before 1800. Another cornerstone of the concept of the chamber
choir is the cooperation with internationally distinguished
musicians. The ensemble worked for example with well-known
conductors as
Frieder Bernius or Alois Glaßner. |
